Junior Youth Rise to Serve

The Junior Youth group of Wishart serve their local community at successful fundraising event.

JY Stars, an enthusiastic group of Junior Youth from Wishart and Redlands, held a JY Fundraising 'cafe' over the school holiday weekend to raise awareness and funds for important charity, Lifeline.

Art Workshop Planned

The idea of an art workshop came naturally when our local community were looking for a community engagement activity to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the dawn of the Baha’i Faith.

Local Russel Island artist Sharon Jewell was asked for help to develop an idea for how members of the community of all ages might come together in an afternoon of sharing art.  As storytelling is also an art, storyteller Izzat Rameshni was asked to share a 10 minute story from the life of the Bab, the first teacher of the Baha’i Faith in Iran, who was born 200 years ago.

Teacher Appreciation

The Baha'i community shows appreciation to the teachers at Manly State School.

World Teacher Day holds it 40th anniversary this year, representing a day, marked by the UNESCO, as a day to show appreciation, awareness and understanding for the vital contributions that teachers make to the education of our children.
