“A Taste of the Baha’i Faith” is a community Open Day for all ages. Free. Sunday, 20 October from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm at the Cleveland Lions Club
The Baha'i community has four main activities, which we call the "core activities". These activities are open to anyone who has an interest. The open day starts with a Devotional called “Soul Food”, which includes prayers, music and inspirational writings, where you can relax, reflect and be inspired by spiritual topics. This is followed by Children’s Classes which focus on spiritual qualities/virtues such as love, truthfulness and generosity, and includes stories, arts and crafts and music.
Throughout the day there will be rolling morning/afternoon tea, and a free BBQ for lunch. You can also watch or join in on a short study circle, based on the Ruhi Institute, where materials are studied about concepts relating to individual and collective spiritual development. In the afternoon, Junior Youth will showcase some of the activities they have been involved in, including some musical presentations.
The day will conclude with the film Dawn of the Light – A film about the individuals personal search after truth and meaning and the discovery that is revolutionising human thought and behaviour.
